The Essex Redbacks Baseball Club Youth Academy caters for any young person between the ages 6-16 no matter what level of baseball experience, age or gender to play competitive sport in a family friendly environment. Based in Billericay, Essex, the Academy is staffed with 10 fully qualified baseball coaches who are experienced in coaching at all levels click here to meet the coaches.
We are an all inclusive club, and we encourage participation and having fun.
For 2012 we have a minimum of two youth teams which play in the British Baseball Federation (BBF) South Leagues. Our teams are based upon two age groups 10-13 and 13-16 years. The BBF Southern League consists of teams located in and around London and the South East of England with League games played on Saturday afternoons throughout the season.
The club is also runs teeball sessions for those players between 6 and 9 years of age. These sessions take place at our diamond at Forest Glade, Billericay on Sunday mornings April till September.
The Academy is located at Forest Glade Youth Football Club at Barleylands Road, Billericay Essex and features the only purpose built diamond for U13 baseball in East London, Essex and East Anglia. For the 2012 season the club are investing and building a new Adult and Pony baseball diamond at Forest Glade. Also new for 2012 will be new changing facilities and club house which have been built by Forest Glade fc.

The Forest Glade Redbacks Bronco league team (10 – 13 years) is based for all home league games at Forest Glade FC. Forest Glade FC is a charter standard community football club that wants to offer their boys and girls a chance to try baseball as a summer sport.
The Essex Redbacks Pony league team (13 – 16 years) – the Essex Redbacks will play all league home games at Forest Glade from 2012 season onwards with training also at the Academy in Billericay. Baseball taster sessions for all youth age groups will be held at Forest Glade and at our other diamond at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford throughout the season (see calendar) with the aim of offering local boys and girls the chance to try baseball.
Outdoor Training Sessions
For the coming season all outdoor training for all age groups, abilities and youth teams will be on Wednesday evenings from 6pm at Forest Glade, Barleylands Road, Billericay (see web site calendar). Teeball sessions will be on a Sunday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am also at Forest Glade.
